REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS
Republic Day is a national day on which the constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. Since then, it is celebrated as a national festival. This year, we had celebrated it with great patriotism. The flag was hoisted by Smt. Sadhnaben C. Patel. He gave a small speech on this great occasion. A small cultural programme was held. Students sang patriotic songs, performed drama and danced on our patriotic songs. In this way, we made remembrance of our patriots and their contribution in our freedom fight.
